Most days when first using the box. Turn TV on, Mag on its channel menu, Mag does not respond to the remote, Power Mag on/off and becomes responsive to remote again. Hope this helps

I have a similar problem that started with the most recent Mag software update. I believe the problem was introduced with the update. I find a work around is to unplug the Mag and plug it back in. I do not think this is anything to do with Rapid.

From the default, I have set both my Mag's up following the video tutorial on here and made no other changes. As you have checked everything then the only thing left is that the 256 is faulty?

I have had no problems with Mag 256 or 254

I use a 254 and 256. In actual usage the 256 seems slightly faster when navigating menus but other than that I could not specify anything else. I would save the money and get the 254.
