Buffering on wifi

Hi, using the IPTV smarters iOS app. Works great on 4G but on wifi it's terrible. Buffering all the time. Tried various wifi networks all with good connection speed, same Issue every time. Any suggestions and/or tips?

Hi there!

Are you using 2.4 or 5 Ghz Wifi ?

For best performance 5 Ghz should be used, However.. 5 Ghz has issues in terms of wifi coverage.. Meaning.. If your Apple TV is far from your Router switching to 2.4 could be the way to go.

Also note that you can change the actual channel that the Wifi is broadcasted on. Try and change channels to see if performance is getting more stable.

Lastly : Ethernet cabel is always recommended for best performance on streaming

Thanks sense, in using the app on an iPhone also it's wifi that I don't have admin rights to. VOD works great, YouTube works fine, streaming via iPlayer works fine so its not wifi speed.

have you tried to change the DNS settings in your router from automatically to manual?

1.1.1.1

Try with the google DNS 8.8.8.8 as Hectorious said... that might solve your issue
