External media player

Hello. I have smarters pro IPTV installed on my shield. When watching live tv i can not get dolby digital sound to output. I have tried many media players but the only one I can get to out DD is Kodi but it is a bit of a pain to back out if i want to channel surf. Is there a media player that can output DD? I have tried MX,VLC,Kodi to name a few. Thanks

is that channel have DD in his audio output settings? if there is only stereo available than non app can make DD from it. everything depend from source you have
