Re-flash Custom Image

I have been given a MAG 254. The Vendor is TeleTec and the image description is version DTV.
My question; is it possible to re-flash the image to the infomir noblock image without bricking the box ?

I have tried to re-flash to the Noblock firmware but a short time into the image flashing I get an error message:
Error writing to flash.
Waiting operator command.
