Resetting fire tv loop

Hi guys

I brought a fire tv box out of retirement for my uncle to use (the flat square one), upon loading it was very slow so let it sit, once it loaded and I could navigate, I then went to settings and reset after entering wifi code. It went through the motions, but now I am stuck with "resetting fire tv" bar loads then it flickers off then back resetting fire tv with thr bar loading again, It just does this over and over.

Sounds like its bricked, I have tried another hdmi and switching it off.

Anyone ever had this?

I have had some older devices do what your saying and I've tried factory resets. Sometimes they work other times it's time for new device.

I've not watched any myself but do know that using an under powered supply could hinder it

I tried another adapter found my echo speaker uses the same adapter and its still the same.

Even tried recovery mode but keyboard wouldnt power up.

Next bit would be to see if I can connect to computer and get in that way
