Enigma2 setup options

I'm new to IPTV but not new to E2 boxes. Hoping someone can help.

In order to get a full working EPG what's the preferred set up method? I rather not use the xstream plugin if I don't have to.

I am also interested to do that from my dashboard on an Enigma2 device.

Enigma boxes(openpli 7.0) cant read the EPG file provided from dashboard (eg https://xxxxx.xdns.pro/epg_temp_dl/output-epgs/sweden.xml.gz) since the link is https. If it would have been http it would play nice.

Cause of that you have to find other epg links to put in /etc/epgimort/somename.sources.xml (http://xxxepg.xml.gz or http://xxxepg.xml.xz).
I think only *.gz and *.xz files works...

Would be nice if someone from support read this and could change the link to just http!

Would be interesting to see your logfile from epgimport, also if you only have that link in xxx.sources.xml or if you have other links. If one link does not work it just take the next one.

I dont see any logfile there from an enigmabox(dreambox, VU+). Thats a screenshot from you browser showing your dashboard.

It works now, thanks past2present for the tip. Just remove the s from the https.. link and it will work.
