Remote Problem

I have a Dreamlink T2 5G. I awoke this morning to find a red light flashing above the mute button. The unit no longer responds to the remote. The red light has stopped flashing.

I changed batteries and the red light started flashing again. The remote is now working again but how do I stop the red light flashing?
