I've been using the Mag254 since i started with IPTV years ago. Whats an upgrade model that is price friendly and has HD and 4K video?

I think the best device you can get is an android box where you enjoy the best flexibility. E.g. amazon fire tv stick.

But You need the newest fire-TV stick.
I have one of the 2.generation and cannot get the audio when transmitting the AC3 codex.

Did you install VLC player on it ? If not, try to install VLC player and it might solve most video codec issues.
