sounds like missing codec on smart tv, which has limited options and cache/memory. try to install another app, e.g. nanomid player. or get an android box like amazon fire tv stick.

Basically it get Auto Updates, Formuler works most likely with portal - in this case just reboot device, e.g. remove power cable and once rebooted you should get and see the latest channel list.
