I've just had my first experience streaming live IPTC through my Firestick. I'm in a 24hr test drive and plan on taking a 30 day test drive so I can get the true experience.
I see there are a lot of boxes out there and was wondering if there is any advantage to building my own. I know the Raspberry Pi is pretty straight forward, but I have seen a couple of complaints about not getting sound with Android TV. The other option for a build is to buy an older model small footprint Windows PC, add additional RAM and install a Unix operating system, then Android TV .
Other than saving a few shekels, what is the advantage of a "DIY" box? I'm looking forward to some responses to get me started. Thank you.
