buffering/connecting

I helped my friend to set up iptv .

first he had a techniccolor android box which we downloaded Smart IPTV app, but when choosing channels it only switched between connecting/buffering.

I gave him new Mi Box and new subscription but same problem. So I am suspecting the router settings.
Any idea which settings?

Same provider works for med on LG smart, and on other friend with apple tv.
