Having read thro the posts.. i can only think that there are Problems with Mag 322 software somehow.. i know this doesn´t help but using Google search seems to point to so many 322 users having similar problems.. why some work and some don´t.. i´m not to sure...

As i´ve clients (322 users) on other systems with no problems.. can this problem be down to Rapid and not a box problem??

In your case i would have tried the following.. I did it like this.. to reset box and install new software... remove power plug.. remove ethernet cable.. usb stick in back of box usb port.. press menue button (button with 3 dots and 3 lines) keep pressed and plug the box...
