Sound issue on MAG 256 W2

I have a MAG 256 box where the sound goes high pitched (like a chipmunk) when changing channels. I have to remove power from the box and reboot the router (running expressvpn) to fully clear it. However soon as i change the channel again it does it again. The MAG box is connected via Ethernet to the router. Any ideas of how to fix the issue?

Please use you dashboard and remove unwanted countries from the list in order to free up memory
