Hello Friends,

Device: Samsung KS8090 firmware 1231
App: Smart IPTV

I've a black screen on VoD but the sound is working.
The videos/movies are working very well on other devices (e.g. LG Smart TV, Samsung J Series with an older firmware, Fire Stick) with the Smart IPTV app but not on my Samsung KS 8090 with the new firmware.
In November Samsung released the new firmware 1231. I'm not sure f it's in relation with my problem but the time frame fits very good. All VoDs which were uploaded after the firmware update have the same problem.
It seems that there is a bug between the app and the new firmware.
Have deleted and installed the app several times and same thing with the link without success.

Hope some of you friends can help.

Thanks so long.

Hello,
  • which m3u link (with options) do you use MPEGTS or the HLS link?
  • try to use MPEGTS eg to see if it works better.
  • Additionally, try reducing your playlist size by removing channels/movies (Dashboard >> Bouquet List)
  • You could try to change the pw of your m3u link thru your dashboard and upload link again.
  • Delete the app from your Smart Tv and then reinstall again. (Additionally, try to reset your Samsung TV)
  • Or even try to restart your router and wait for 5 min and try again.
  • Change DNS, on your TV, Press the “Menu” button on your remote.
    1. Under “Settings menu” select “Network” (1) then choose “Network Status” (2).
    2. After several seconds you will see 3 buttons. ...
    3. Choose “DNS setting” (4).
    4. Select “Enter manually” (5).
    5. Enter the SmartyDNS DNS addresses (6).
  • Cloudflare DNS: 1.0.0.1 or 1.1.1.1
    Open DNS: 208.67.222.222 or 208.67.220.220
    Google DNS: 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4
    DNS Watch: 82.200.69.80 or 84.200.70.40
  • some routers have safe DNS option that is forcing router DNS even if you put custom dns on other devices so first thing to do specialy for Vodafone is to disable SECURE DNS in Router internet settings.

Regards.
Thank you!! After resetting my Samsung TV it is working better now.

Thx (gracias)

Hi :) I am using Smart IPTV on a Samsung TV (Q6 Series). But the problem is, that I am not able to watch VOD‘s. It is trying to load the file but throws then an error message (Video error). Could you help me please? The problem is only about VOD. Live channels are working perfectly. And this problem occurs only using my Samsung TV.

Best regards

hi, if live channel are working, it's then difficult to say what wrong then. Any how, a reset of tv always the best using also long press on "0" button when loading channels to empty memory.

Yes, I cleared the cache but did not help at all. I‘ll try again after changing DNS. Thanks!

Well yesterday I had issue aswell as my Samsung TV didn't work anymore (Smart TV) with the ethernet connection.
I had to switch in the menu to Wifi connection and then it worked... I rebooted the router etc but didn't help. and only the TV is not connecting via LAN. Xbox or swiss TV box are working perfectly... and this issue just came yesterday... of course I can just leave it as it is as it works good but I still think that LAN is better then wifi...

any ideas what the reason can be?

Hello all,

I hope I'm posting on the correct section. I need your help.

Any channel was working, so I deleted the playlist, refresh the app and send again the playlist. Now the channels are working, but when I click on "Groups" all channels are listed vertically instead of being grouped by countries.

Does someone have an idea to solve that and have again the list by country?

Thanks a lot for your time.

Thanks for your answer. I've deleted the playlist, restart and upload a new one, ending by type=m3u&output=m3u8, but the groups are still not there :/
